Modern Kishan Private Limited (MKPL) was created to take India & Indians forward through the green revolution. A right mix of innovation, science and technology could help us cater to our country’s current need of ‘Make in India.’ Our creative business model will help us take our farmers forward and as a result, our country forward. Indians do farming best so let us act on our strength and become the best farmers in the world. MKPL aims to produce mushroom, the superfood, and a place of research in product quality development. It will provide an entrepreneurial opportunity to the youth of the state. MKPL for its first venture looks to explore and commercially develop the biggest farm for producing Paddy Straw Mushroom in the state. The venture looks at creating a state-of-the-art lab for producing its own spawn to maintain quality and consistency. The plans to semi-automate or automate processes to better manage cost is also being studied. Cultivation under various climatic conditions will be studied to understand the best yield conditions. MKPL will also be studying the development of different varieties of mushroom to understand the feasibility to commercially exploit the same in different states in the country.
