MOLC is the first group-buying social commerce platform in India where shoppers are able to get cost-effective products by social sharing and grouping, while sellers will reduce the cost of new customer acquisition. Recently, we’ve been seeing social commerce is quite successful in China. Pinduoduo has done IPO in Nasdaq with a $24 Billion valuation. The reason why social commerce got considerably popular in China is that they fulfill the needs of low and middle income people to achieve a higher quality of life, who account for around 85 percent of Pinduoduo’s total user base. Nevertheless, we believe that there are more low and middle income families (or new middle class) in India (97%-99% of population), which means that social commerce in India will have a larger user base and higher potential. Additionally, we believe that social commerce will the key for high cost of acquisition of Indian e-commerce industry. That’s why MOLC started a localized and improved social commerce platform in India. We are working on seed series fundraising right now.
