We M/s Netro Network Pvt. Ltd., initially would be doing assembly of SFP (Small Form Pluggable / Trans Receivers) and later on within a span of 6 to 8 months will start manufacturing the same locally. If we assemble SFP in India instead of direct Import of SFP, there is a cost saving of around 20% in the total import bill. There is large demand for SFP in various items and hence Foreign Currency saving to INDIA would be substantial. The saving will increase once we start manufacturing of SFP in India. SFP Configuration: SFP consist of TOSHA, BOSA, Printed Circuit Board, Rubber Part for dust protection and metallic cover. Uses of SFP: SFP is used in Data Switches and Routers. Further SFP is also used in following devices : a. Media Convertor b. Storage c. Servers d. Data Communication Device e. Wi-Fi f. Optical Line Terminal Manufacturer of SFP: World renowned brands such as CISCO, JUNIPER, HP, BROCADE, EXTREME Function of SFP: SFP enables to transmit and receive data from one device to another. Advantages to Indian Economy by making SFP locally: 1. Saving of Foreign Currency: If we assemble SFP in India instead of direct Import of SFP, there is a cost saving of around 20% in the total import bill. There is large demand for SFP in various items and hence Foreign Currency saving to INDIA would be substantial. The saving will increase once we start manufacturing of SFP in India. 2. Reduction of Lead Time: When these SFP’s are imported, Lead Time is approx. 4 to 6 weeks. By assembling these components locally we would reduce the lead time to one week which will help in early implementation of Project. 3. Reduction in Project Cost: Since projects which are being executed in India will prefer to take SFP locally. There will be reduction in Project Cost resulting in increased competitiveness. 4. Employment Generation: While assembling the components for SFP, the company would generate direct employment for approx. 25 workers which will be increased to 75 workers once the company switches to manufacturing. Apart from the direct employment company would give direct employment to around 500 persons all over India, who will be doing installation of SFP at the customers site. 5. Overseas Business: We can also Export these SFPs to the overseas market as our pricing will be very much competitive.
