In their own words
Solar Biogas Hybrid Plants from NoCarbon : Avoiding climate disaster and good financial returns go hand in hand NoCarbon is a green technology startup based in Delhi, India. The company has developed a unique Bio Energy with Carbon Capture, Solar- Biogas hybrid Waste to Energy solution to address the problem of climate change. We are starting our operations in India but the solution can work anywhere in the world. Sourcing energy from biogas Solar hybrid plants is a near perfect solution to two problems faced in the modern world: mounting waste and the need to rapidly de-carbonise in the face of increasingly volatile global temperatures. The unique Solar Biogas solution offers a financial viability missing in other Carbon capture and sequestration/Waste to Energy / standalone Biogas plants. Only Composting or a biogas plant is generally unviable in Urban local bodies landfill sites and Institutions over the length of plant life of 25 years. Our innovative technology solution combines Solar with Biogas technology to provide an integrated plant system. The hybrid plant generates electricity and compost from the biodegradable waste and solar panels and the generated electricity is connected to the grid as per the guidelines of the government through a long term Power purchase Agreement. Combination of two or more energy systems of renewable nature produces greater efficiency and is more cost effective. The Solar-Biogas hybrid also addresses the central issue of unreliability & intermittency associated with a renewable project. There are so many advantages to a Solar Biogas system, “from waste treatment, production of bio fertilizer, generation of renewable energy, capturing carbon & mitigating greenhouse gas emissions, recycling large amounts of plastic and other waste, improved water quality, and provision of jobs. If we want to stop the Earth from warming, it's clear that coal, oil and gas must remain in the ground. But climate experts also say CO2 needs to be removed from the atmosphere. Biogas is a combination of two powerful greenhouse gases (Methane and Carbon Dioxide). Our solution captures both gases from waste (MSW/Agriculture/Forest). A way of extracting CO2 from the air is via biomass. Plants grow and die and biodegradable waste generates biogas in a power plant to produce electricity from methane. CO2 is captured and stored deep in the Earth where it will not enter the atmosphere, normally an underground geological formation. This is known as Carbon Capture & Sequestration. A new report from the McKinsey Global Institute (MGI), on the likely consequences of global warming for Asia, has some very dire projections for India and the report projects Asia to suffer the brunt of the climate change impact, threatening millions of livelihoods in the coastal areas even as water stress in certain areas of the country makes these practicably unlivable. The IPCC in its Physical Science Basis report said that reaching net zero for greenhouse gas emissions is a requirement to stabilize human-induced global temperature at any level. All major economies and companies have announced net zero targets. Net Zero is primarily carbon neutrality. It means the aggregate carbon emissions of a country should be zero on a given date. There is no way to reach Net zero without negative emissions through Carbon capture. Carbon capture and utilization/storage through BECCS is identified as the leading gateway to achieving negative emissions technology by IPCC. Adequate management for Waste treatment and disposal is one of the biggest issues municipal institutions face and they often struggle to cover the infrastructure and operations and maintenance costs of managing waste services. We have provided a solution for MSW treatment which is both environmentally and economically viable. Around 60 to 70% of total waste in Indian landfills is biodegradable waste and plastic waste. Every minute, one garbage truck equivalent of plastic is dumped into our oceans. This has to stop. By linking up and closing the loop on the previously linear processes of sending organic waste to landfill, our solution is able to tackle waste, energy, nutrient recycling & waste recycling challenges in a sustainable and circular manner. One 50 ton Solar Biogas mini plant reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 35,000-40,000 tons CO2 eq per year, equivalent to planting 1.2 Million trees every year (by Mitigating carbon emissions from methane capture- 22000 tons, Soil Carbon sequestration- 4000 tons, Electricity generation through Biogas and Solar- 7000 tons). The 50 ton Solar Biogas plant will generate more than 1 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent reduction over the plant life of 30 years. NoCarbon plans to build multiple such plants.

We have no liveness signal for any company on this site: no filings feed, no revenue, no check that the website still resolves. A record existing here means a record exists, not that a business is trading.
