NRTR GREEN FUEL AND ENERGY PRIVATE LIMITED, was incorporated with Govt of India on 12th April 2022 with U23202DL2022PTC396546, for the setting up of grain-based First-generation biofuel “Fuel Ethanol” manufacturing facility at Kalahandi, ODISHA. The company planned to establish a plant capacity one lakh twenty thousand litres per day with the motto of Zero Liquid Discharge and also a captive power generation plant. The fuel ethanol so produced will be solely used for blending with petrol as a biofuel. It aims to contribute to the Government's Ethanol Blending Programme (EBP), mandating the blending of Ethanol with petrol by Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) in India. EBP has two major commercial impact – saving of foreign reserve and doubling farmer’s income. The two by-products viz carbon dioxide (CO2) and dried distillers' grains with soluble (DDGS) will also be produced. The commercial operation of the plant is expected to commence on Dec 1, 2024, after a construction period of 12-15 months and additional time for pre-commissioning trial runs. “Fuel Ethanol” is an alternative to fossil fuel and aims to reduce dependence on imports and making fuel cost more economical. By producing fuel ethanol, GREEN FUEL AND ENERGY PRIVATE LIMITED aims to support the government's initiative and help achieve the targeted ethanol blending percentage in fuel, thereby reducing pollution levels and promoting a cleaner environment. Our target is to be achieved by adopting a five-pronged strategy which includes Increasing Domestic Production, Adopting Biofuel OMCs Renewable, Energy Efficiency Norms, Improvement in Refinery Processes and Demand Substitution.
