Amrut, derived from the Sanskrit word “amrit / amṛta”, literally means "immortality", and is often referred to as nectar in ancient texts. The earliest occurrence of the word is in the Rigveda, used as one of the synonyms of "soma", the drink conferring immortality upon the gods. It is related etymologically to the Greek "ambrosia", and it carries the same meaning. Amrutulya Farms is a social enterprise, formed with the aim of delivering farm-fresh, delicious, natural, nutritious, chemical-free and unmatched quality milk and dairy products at the doorstep of urban consumers. In operations since February 2018, Amrutulya Farms is providing fresh and organic milk sourced directly from network farms near Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh. These farmers are nurtured and trained to adopt best practices for milk production, thus assuring doorstep delivery of “Clean Organic Wholesome Safe”, i.e. Truly COWS Milk at the doorstep of urban consumers. ‘Amrutulya’ as a brand-name, reflects the essence of purity and strength in the products it delivers, that are designed to provide wholesome nutrition to its consumers, and thus contribute to a healthy and long life.
