We are building a tech first bridge to help large lenders, like Banks and HFCs, to reach rural middle income customers who are building their homes. Many Families in the tier 3 cities and below are converting from “Kaccha” housing to “Pucca” housing spurred by increasing savings, also by nuclearisation and improved infrastructure. The PMAY also has made grants and interest subsidies for these customers but the customers need loans to close the construction as these houses cost 10 - 15 lakhs and they have taken informal loans to meet this difference. Sometimes they have savings but most need a low cost long term loan from a Bank, but find that Banks are not reachable.
