Oorjja is a social enterprise started by S.S. Jayasankar, a former mechanical engineer turned banking professional with over two decades of experience in the Indian industry. The organization came to be established as a result of his passion for doing compassionate service to the society; through addressing one of its basic needs namely, right education.The Oorjja model intends to address this glaring lacuna. We bridge the gap between the needs of the industry and the traditional education system through our well-devised program of empowering students with requisite skills. The program has evolved based on input from seasoned professionals from a cross section of the industry. Oorjja run focused programs intended to enable differently abled undergraduate students to acquire the skills necessary to gain employment based on merit and not any reservation or sympathy.
