Osiris Agretail Private Limited (OAPL) is a web-based, multi-product aggregator and retailer that distinguishes itself as a purely Odisha-centric and Odisha-forward business enterprise. OAPL is focused on procurement of value-added products such as agricultural and food items, handloom, and handicrafts that are exclusively produced by small and marginal farmers and manufacturers in different parts of Odisha, through a sustainable and ethical sourcing policy. 2. OAPL deploys a unique and proprietary PQR system that offers (a) a Premium over prevailing market prices to the producers; (b) a Quality Incentive payment to encourage producers to maintain high quality standards; and (c) a further payout to the producers in the form of Revenue Share, that ensures that a pre-defined percentage of the profits generated from the sales passed on to the producers. 3. OAPL promotes localized value addition (i.e. value addition made within the state of Odisha and by the producers themselves) and direct trade from the producers without involvement of any intermediaries. 4. In addition to offering a beyond-fair pricing to the producers, OAPL also facilitates door-step procurement from the producers thereby ensure that the market comes to the producer rather than vice versa. 5. OAPL maintains strict Quality Assurance / Quality Control standards to ensure that only international and export quality products are available for retail on its platform. The Quality Incentive mechanism ensures that producers are compensated for additional time, labour and money spent on adhering to higher quality standards. 6. All products sourced by OAPL will be retailed through its homegrown mother brand ‘ODYSSA’ through an online marketplace. The entire branding, packaging, marketing, and storytelling is at-par with some of the premium brands in the national and international market. 7. The most unique aspect of ODYSSA brand is the innovative use of packaging material to showcase various social, cultural, religious, and regional aspects of Odisha (such as Ratha Yatra, Pattachitra art form, Odissi dance, Pipli applique work, etc) through narratives and storytelling. This is an innovative way of strengthening the connection between high quality retail products with brand Odisha in the minds of the discerning consumers. 8. The entire model, right from procurement to sales, is technology backed including leveraging use of Web 3.0 to maintain complete traceability. 9. At its heart, OAPL is a socially responsible business which reflects in its sourcing, pricing, and marketing policies.
