In their own words

Ossus Biorenewables was founded in 2017 the need to produce green hydrogen as a fossil fuel replacement to begin the process of creating a net zero world. The founders include Suruchi Rao (CEO), Kamar Suhail Basha (CTO) and Shanta Rao (CLO). The technology being developed by Ossus Bio, termed, OB HydraCel is an autonomous bioreactor, that combines biology and electrochemistry to deliver fossil fuel replacement, Green Hydrogen, specifically to process industries, to mitigate 36.8 gigatonnes of CO2eq in 2022 as reported by IEA. We are currently working with multiple industries, but our marquee client is Tata Steel in India for whom we have a 21 tonnes per day plant under commission which will save almost 30,000 tonnes of CO2eq annually at one site alone. We hope to help each of our process industry clients reach net zero emissions by 2025 and with this mission we have recently closed our pre-series A round of USD 2.5 Million in early April 2023 with Gruhas Proptech and Rainmatter Climate.
