PackGPT is an AI-assisted decision infrastructure designed for the packaging manufacturing industry. Packaging manufacturers typically rely on manual spreadsheets and experience-based costing to convert customer enquiries into production-ready specifications. This process requires repeated coordination between sales and production teams, leading to delays, inconsistent quotations, and lack of standardization. PackGPT digitizes this pre-production decision layer by capturing customer enquiries through a structured interface and converting them into technical inputs. These inputs are connected to a deterministic pricing engine configured by each manufacturer, ensuring accurate and controlled cost estimation without exposing sensitive pricing parameters. Unlike conventional AI systems, PackGPT separates language understanding from cost computation. AI is used only to extract structured requirements and to communicate with customers, while pricing and feasibility are executed through controlled backend formulas. This architecture enables automation while maintaining full cost governance for manufacturers. The platform operates as a cloud-based decision infrastructure layer positioned upstream of ERP and manufacturing execution systems. It improves quotation speed, standardizes requirement capture, and enhances operational efficiency for packaging manufacturers, particularly MSMEs. The current MVP supports rigid boxes and duplex cartons and is deployed on Google Cloud infrastructure, with a live operational deployment for a packaging manufacturer in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu. Future development includes automated keyline generation from production-grade dieline files, AI-assisted packaging design integrations, and expansion across packaging manufacturing clusters in India as a multi-tenant SaaS platform.
