PANLINGUA LANGUAGE PROCESSING LLP
Delhi, Delhi
In their own words
India is one of the richest countries with as many as 1700 languages from 5 different language families. Yet, none of the languages have complete access to language technology. It is in this respect that Panlingua was constituted by two linguists cum NLP Engineers with a vision to empower the rich linguistic heritage in India. The word Panlingua has been derived from the Sanskrit name 'Panini' referring to the first linguist ever who documented the grammar of Sanskrit, and the Latin word 'linguistics' meaning the study of language. Realizing that the current set of efforts are inefficient and insufficient, a dire need was felt to develop linguistic resources, tools, and applications infused with the capacity to enable information access and thereby reduce the digital divide. Our mission is to create an ecosystem where interactional tools, linguistic resources, and consultancy services can be accessed under one hood. We plan to accomplish our aims through the latest generation of researchers with multi-disciplinary expertise.
