Pelleverde Private Limited is a deep tech biomaterials startup engineering Botanicaluxe, a completely plastic free luxury vegan leather derived from Nopal cactus. The global materials industry forces brands to choose between toxic animal leather tanning that pollutes water ecosystems and conventional synthetic vegan leathers made entirely of polluting petroleum plastics. We solve this massive environmental and microplastic crisis by eliminating synthetic plastics entirely from our manufacturing process. We utilize a proprietary plant derived bio resin and an advanced ultraviolet curing process to structuralize organic cactus nanofibers. This deep tech green chemistry ensures our material natively resists moisture and perfectly mimics the durability of full grain animal hide with absolute circularity. We have successfully validated our laboratory formulation and manufactured our first fully functional commercial prototype. We are currently at Technology Readiness Level 6. We aim to utilize the seed fund to scale into automated pilot roll production to supply premium fashion and automotive enterprise clients, helping them achieve strict decarbonization targets while eliminating toxic chemical hazards for traditional artisan communities.
