India is expected to be the biggest driver of global energy for the next 20 years. Considering Economic growth and population growth, demand for energy to power our industries, transportation and standard of living is expected to increase exponentially. To meet this growing energy demand and growing climate concerns the Government of India is promoting greener sources of energy like LNG/natural gas by increasing the share of NG in the energy mix from 6% to 15% by 2030. This Shift to a gas-based economy presents a huge opportunity for domestic gas exploration & production, which have been on a steady decline due to lack of investment and infrastructure like pipelines. Increasing India’s dependence on imported LNG (around 50% of the gas needs imported), leading to higher import bills, volatile energy market and reduced accessibility to greener fuels like Natural gas. That’s were Small-Scale LNG (SSLNG) solutions like PolaireTech Modular Zero Refrigerant-LNG can help add value to stranded gas resources and flared gases by processing & liquifying natural gas close to the production site and transporting it to the market via trucks/trains/ISO tanks to be used as a fuel directly, as a cleaner replacement for diesel or re-gasified to natural gas and injected into the gas network. PolaireTech is developing and implementing small-scale standardized modular LNG plants with capacities of 5,000 tpa (15 TPD) and 60,000 tpa (170 TPD) LNG production from various gas feedstocks (flared gas, well gas, pipelines, biogas), using the Standardized Modular Zero Refrigerant solution for onsite LNG production at the lowest life-cycle cost, Plug & Play modules that can be interchanged depending on FEED gas source and scalable solution with minimum equipment count, without the need for flammable/hazardous refrigerants (N2 / SMR’s) and associated storage & equipment.
