Prorama Biosciences LLP is engaged in a diversified portfolio of biotechnology R&D programs spanning biologics, industrial enzymes, microbial platforms, and computational biology, supported by strong in-house capabilities in genomics, proteomics, and fermentation engineering. The biologics platform focuses on engineered recombinant proteins with improved stability, expression, and manufacturability; multiple candidates have been successfully cloned, expressed, purified, and structurally validated using far-UV circular dichroism and nLC-ESI-MS/MS, with ongoing work directed toward enhancing protease resistance, functional performance, and scalability. In parallel, the company is advancing industrial enzyme programs including phospholipase D (PLD) from Streptomyces mobaraensis for phospholipid modification and phosphatidylserine synthesis, along with thermostable lipases from Geobacillus species and phytase for feed and nutraceutical applications, all emphasizing enzyme engineering, reaction optimization, and process scalability.The organization is also developing a microbiome and probiotic discovery platform focused on identification and characterization of dual-use microbial strains with mid-gut and probiotic relevance, supported by genomic and functional screening approaches. In the area of pathway engineering and systems biology, a genome-informed digital twin framework is being established for actinomycete systems such as Saccharopolyspora spinosa, integrating genome sequencing, annotation, and constraint-based metabolic modeling with experimental validation to enable rational strain improvement. Complementing these efforts are integrated genomics and proteomics capabilities, including next-generation sequencing and LC-MS/MS-based protein characterization, enabling end-to-end validation of engineered systems.A key strength of the applicant lies in fermentation and bioprocess development, encompassing upstream optimization, scale-up from laboratory to pilot scale, and downstream processing. Collectively, these programs demonstrate a robust, platform-driven R&D ecosystem that integrates biologics development, enzyme engineering, microbial discovery, metabolic engineering, and scalable bioprocessing, positioning the applicant to execute complex biotechnology development programs across therapeutic, industrial, and microbiome domains.
