The founders have more than 15 years of experience in aviation industry – specifically building products for in-flight entertainment systems and for airline operations. They have built a team around a core set of similarly experienced people and are leveraging their substantial contacts in the industry to start ProVerne. ProVerne is developing products in specifically 2 areas – 1. Crew Management in Airline Operations 2. Inflight entertainment Systems (IFE) In Crew Management, ProVerne has already developed a product that is already being used by Atlas Air and Indigo airlines. ProVerne is also deploying it for SunWing Airlines and Trans States airlines. For IFE, ProVerne has already started working with China Southern and are in talks with Virgin Australia. Given that the requirements and features of the product deployment vary little from airline to airline, ProVerne is able to manage handling deployment and support for around 3-4 airlines with the current team size. But with addition of more and more airlines as customers, ProVerne is looking for hiring more people – specifically for sales, customer management, technical and quality controls. ProVerne has plans to acquire a large chunk of medium and small airlines across all continents as customers. ProVerne provides all software in the form software-as-a-service (SAAS) model where airlines subscribe to its products on a monthly subscription basis and ProVerne hosts/maintains/manages the deployment of software. The contracts with airlines are typical for a period of 36 months and that provides a suitable predictability in terms of revenue for the company.
