PurePlant Biotech Private Limited is a newly incorporated biotechnology and specialty ingredients company based in Surat, Gujarat, India. We are focused on introducing Pullulan — a premium, naturally derived, biodegradable biopolymer — into India's organized pharma, nutraceutical, and food processing supply chains. Pullulan is produced through the controlled fermentation of carbohydrate substrates using the naturally occurring fungus Aureobasidium pullulans. It is non-toxic, tasteless, edible, and fully biodegradable — certified safe by USFDA (GRAS), EFSA (Europe), and FSSAI (India). Despite its wide global use, India currently has no organized domestic supplier of GMP-certified pullulan powder. PurePlant Biotech is established to bridge this critical gap — first through organized import of food-grade, pharma-grade, and capsule-grade pullulan from certified manufacturers in Japan and China, and subsequently through domestic fermentation-based manufacturing in India, directly contributing to India's Atmanirbhar Bharat and PLI Pharma objectives.
