Our innovation focuses on developing an integrated and indigenous diabetes management ecosystem aimed at improving accessibility and affordability of diabetes care. The approach spans the complete value chain—from in-house production of insulin Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) to advanced diabetes monitoring and delivery technologies. The proposed solution includes the development of a wearable sensor-based Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) device for real-time glucose tracking and a smart insulin delivery system (insulin pump) that integrates glucose sensing and automated insulin administration. The system is designed to enable continuous monitoring and precise insulin delivery, supporting improved glycemic control and patient convenience. The key innovation lies in combining indigenous manufacturing, digital monitoring, and automated therapeutic delivery into a low-cost and scalable platform. By reducing dependence on imported technologies and optimizing production and deployment costs, the solution has the potential for large-scale adoption across hospitals, clinics, and home-based diabetes management settings in India and other resource-constrained markets.
