‘PUSANOW Farmers Solution pvt ltd’ start-up has a mission to create a future of farming that put farmers first by democratizing information, providing unbiased analytical information and creating competition for farmers’ business. The ‘PUSANOW’ supports small farm holding farmers to reduce their cultivation costs, improve their crop productivity and obtain higher remunerative prices for their produce. Challenges of farmers: 1. The lack of access to timely, appropriate and actionable extension advice makes it a fundamental challenge for farmers to get the right information at the right time to reduce crop losses due to the pest, disease or nutrient deficiency problems that finally affected their income. 2. Inadequate logistic infrastructure in rural area that’s why farmers forced to sell their produce to middle man on least price and also buy farm input on high rate without get any proper/computerized bill. 3. The lack of knowledge about organic farming, high value crop ( both horticultural and meditational), diversified farming model, primary value addition and marketing means how to supplied their small quantity produce to end processors and consumers. What will this start-up do for solve above challenges of farmers? This start-up will provide timely weather based farm advisory to farmers and scientific farming methods by tele advisory system and also provides training for precisions use of fertilizers and chemicals in the farm according to the soil health to reduce crop losses due to the pest, disease or nutrient deficiency problems and interact directly with manufactures, distributors and other suppliers to bring cost saving to farmers and ensure delivery to walking distance of every farmers within 2-4 days thus it will increase farmer’s productivity. And after production agriculture produces supplied to end processor or direct to customer/ online retailing(organic vegetables, high value crop & fortified crop) at doorstep weekly after primary processing (cleaning, grading, packaging and branding) with maintain value/quality parameter. This start-up will also set processing unit for high value crop (Mushroom, Capsicum, Baby-corn, Sweet-corn, Strawberry, Broccoli, Papaya, Jamun, Bel, Jackfruit, Banana etc.) and fortified crop after joining 10-10 farmers from each targeted village for production of these high value crop and fortified crop through the contribution of share capital by those farmers because farmers are the ultimate entrepreneurs managing complex businesses on their own end. This will increase their income and increase the means of employment for the people of the village. For getting these objective this start-up service chain will started from ‘PUSANOW Farmers Solution advisory Centre’ (information on improve technologies, practices, timely and weather based farm advisory and government schemes etc.) that will help farmers to take meaningful decisions for ensuring the profitability of their farms by Telephonic media. This center will also provide information and advice to farmers to help them make better decisions when marketing their crops. The next chains will ‘PUSANOW Centers which is a one-stop-shop for full-stack agricultural services like seed, fertilizers, insecticides and pesticides, bio-fertilizer and pesticides, farm machinery and livestock services etc. PUSANOW Centers will operate by the locally collaborate with B.Sc. Agriculture graduates also known as ‘Agriculture Extensionist (A.E) and ‘Farmers Service Providers’ (FSP) at village level who is also a farmer. Each center will integrate with 200-1000 farmers/producers and each FSP will cover 150-200 Farmers for inputs demand & farm produces collection. They are the reliable and friendly “human interface” on the ground that build trust with farmers and are an essential part of Last Mile Access that makes true differences in the overall value chain of our operations. A.E will framework in marketing, input cost management, and will develop farm business model & search new customers/markets that should be looking at for long-term profitability. These centers will not only connecting hub for rural producers but also a processing cum distribution centers. ‘PUSANOW Centers’ will be a e-commerce center and reap benefits in the form of service charges from all the transaction types like farm produces sales, farm input, value added product sales, skill training, logistics etc.
