RAGA FELLOWSHIP FOUNDATION is dedicated to addressing critical challenges in the preservation, promotion, and sustainability of Indian art and culture. In the face of modernization and globalization, traditional art forms, music, dance, and cultural practices face the risk of extinction or dilution. Our foundation recognizes and aims to combat the following key problems: • Cultural Erosion: Traditional art forms and cultural practices are at risk of fading away due to changing societal dynamics and a lack of systematic preservation efforts. • Lack of Patronage for Artists: Many talented artists and artisans struggle to find recognition and support for their work, leading to economic challenges and the abandonment of traditional crafts. • Limited Access to Cultural Education: There is a gap in providing accessible and comprehensive cultural education, especially in schools and communities, leading to a lack of awareness and appreciation for India's diverse cultural heritage. • Underrepresentation of Cultural Diversity: Certain regions and communities with rich cultural traditions may be underrepresented on mainstream platforms, limiting the diversity and inclusivity of cultural narratives. • Financial Sustainability of Cultural Initiatives: • Cultural organizations often face financial challenges in sustaining their operations, hindering their ability to undertake long-term projects and provide continuous support to artists and cultural practitioners.
