In their own words

Contrary to widespread belief, the majority of paper cups used for beverages, such as chai and coffee, currently incorporate a Polyethylene (PE) Plastic coating to enhance sealing and act as a barrier. Alarmingly, over 95% of paper cups in India possess this PE coating, posing significant environmental and health concerns. Research published in the Journal of Hazardous Chemicals reveals that a mere 100 ml of these PE-coated paper cups releases more than 25,000 microplastics into the hot beverage, which can have adverse long-term health effects. Furthermore, these supposedly "recyclable" and "biodegradable" cups take over 20 years to decompose due to the challenging separation process required for the plastic lining and paper. Consequently, most end up in landfills, contributing to environmental harm and methane emissions. To address these critical issues, RAS Bio FoodPack LLP has developed a revolutionary 100% plastic-free, compostable, and re-pulpable Paper Cup. Our cups feature a water-based barrier coating to prevent leakage and are certified as food-safe by the USFDA. The coating is plastic-free, biodegradable, and compostable, meeting ISO 17088 standards, as certified by the Central Institute of Petrochemicals & Technology (CIPET). Notably, these paper cups decompose in soil within six months and are easily re-pulpable, eliminating the need for energy-intensive separation processes. All our raw materials are sourced from Indian manufacturers. In addition to our commitment to environmental sustainability, it's crucial to recognize that alternative options such as PLA-coated or BioPBS-coated paper cups are available in the market. While these alternatives are compostable within six months, it is important to note that they still form a film that requires the same separation procedure as PE-coated cups, which our cups do not. Our paper cups are certified to be re-pulpable by (CPPRI) which means that they can be mixed with regular paper waste.

This record carries no locality line, so the district is the finest ring we can place it in.

What we do not know

We have no liveness signal for any company on this site: no filings feed, no revenue, no check that the website still resolves. A record existing here means a record exists, not that a business is trading.

Is this your company?

If something is wrong, the authoritative place to correct it is the Startup India portal itself, and we will pick the correction up on the next monthly snapshot.
