The company is a CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, Pune Spinoff. The primary objective is to take the technology developed there in to the market place. Currently, India does not have end-to-end manufacturing of rechargeable batteries. The basic elements and raw materials are imported and mostly assembling is done domestically. We aim to develop an indigenous technology using all-India variants and to manufacture rechargeable batteries for stationary storage and electric vehicle applications. The 'Make-in-India' initiative will mitigate the raw materials like Li, Co, Ni etc dependence on China and other countries.
