PureSil Paints (Relic Coatings LLP) is a circular chemistry startup pioneering next-generation building coatings by upcycling agro-industrial waste into high-performance mineral paints. Developed by materials scientist Dr. Nikhil Dhote (Ph.D., CSIR-NEERI), PureSil's breakthrough Silicification Technology replaces foreign petroleum resins with indigenous inorganic binders derived from Rice Husk Ash (RHA) and Coal Fly Ash. Unlike conventional acrylic paints that form a temporary surface film, PureSil chemically fuses with masonry to deliver a breathable, Zero-VOC, A1 fire-rated coating with a 20+ year lifespan. By replacing imported petrochemicals with domestic mineral chemistry, PureSil slashes paint carbon emissions by 46% while advancing national self-reliance (Atmanirbhar Bharat). Operating manufacturing facilities with a base capacity of 100,000 L/month, Relic Coatings is rapidly expanding its commercial distribution channels pan-India while in the final stages of securing in-principle approval for listing on the Maharashtra State PWD Schedule of Rates (SSR) for large-scale public infrastructure projects.
