The aim is to make a consensus. Finding a one odd review is just an opinion, and might not sway the person to make a decision, but a dozen reviews are capable to make or break the deal. The more reviews the better, and how else would that be possible other than having a platform that is exclusively for reviews. The more reviews, the better and one study has found that at least 40 reviews justify an average star rating. With an array of review sites, and the level of trust most customers have in reviews, it is safe to assume that everyone considering to make an online/offline purchase, no matter the demographic, industry, or market, is reading an online review. In a recent article on TOI, it was revealed that more that 50% customers don’t trust product reviews on e-commerce sites. 72% of the respondents believe that fake product reviews have become a norm of the industry.
