RIMONE is a technical solution for charging batteries of hybrid and electrically powered vehicles. It deploys Principle of opportunity charging, considered to be the most cost-efficient and energy-efficient methods of keeping hybrid and electrically powered vehicles optimally operable. With opportunity charging, the infrastructure consists of fewer units. Furthermore, we are planning to install the charging stations throughout the geographical area to be served. RIMONE is an automatic interface for charging electrically powered vehicles based on established industry standards, with an intention of supporting a common charging interface for all type of electric vehicles. A supplier independent interface will lead to cost reductions, benefiting the city’s ability to offer its citizens more sustainable transportation solutions. The purpose of RIMONE is to support and simplify migration from Internal Combustion Engines and fossil fuel to Electric Propulsion based on hybrid and battery technology.
