• It all started in March 2017, when one of the clients, a reputed lubricant company, was looking for warehousing space in the state of Karnataka, an industrious state in South India. Through his limited network, he managed to get response from 5 of the warehousing companies, however none of them met his expectations and he continued to struggle till August 2017. • During his business trip to Karnataka (Bengaluru) in August’17, Shailendra Gokhale came across one warehousing company who was desperately looking for suitable company for 7 months, but to no success. • Shailendra established his contact with the client and as it turned out, he met the client’s expectations. This is just one example, but he has seen in many areas, where companies (big or small) have not been able to leverage the technology to their advantage, for seeking the service in a timely manner. • This triggered the thought in Shailendra’s mind that if he can help creating a digital platform for bringing the service seeker and service provider together, it will help entire value chain to become “Faster, Better and Cheaper”. There was clearly a critical need for every company in Lubricants Value Chain to go digital in such a fast-moving world. • This is when a service portal ’Rosefield B2B’ was born. Necessity is the mother of all inventions.
