Oroda is a design house that centres on using ethical practices to develop an inclusive and sustainable approach to textile design. Addressing the sizing issue either with a free sized or inclusive sized garment. Women’s sizes are far more diverse than that for men and children, needing varied size gradations. The inspiration behind Oroda womenswear started with many years of size disparity seen in the fashion industry, which is the core reason behind sizing issue in the industry and huge dead stocks in fashion houses. Oroda is designing the womenswear with the inclusivity for different shapes and sizes of women. This is how Oroda will innovate with a new, multi-disciplinary approach to eventually extend the garment’s shelf life. Classic design approach gives our consumers options no matter what the season, occasion or sizing, exclusive of market trends. Oroda’s fabrics are made from craft clusters. Surabhi Gangrade and Rose Marie Savio, founders of Oroda lab, have many years of combined experience in the fashion Industry, textile Industry, crafts sector and corporate sector. They are Textile design alumni of premium design institute, National Institute of Design (NID) Ahmedabad.
