Sarna, a nature-based belief system prevalent among the indigenous tribes, Santal, Ho, Munda, Oraon in northern part of Odisha. Most of these communities revere forests as the abode of Mother Nature and do not let enter anyone without their permission. There is a deep belief that if they protect the forest, they will be protected by the forest deity at the time of crises. Environmentalists believe that Sarna institution is the most sustainable practice of forest conservation. The name ‘Sarna’ adopted by us is inspired by the indigenous beliefs and practices of sustainable living. Our Products Odisha Journeys and Odisha Potli are available on www.sarnafoundation.com
