With a huge population, countries like India struggle a lot with paperwork, fraud and imposition when it comes to a person's identity. My idea is to build a chip based systematic system where all identities are unique, safe and paperless. We will create a unique identity chip which will contain all the financial and government documents. These documents will be secure, encrypted and accessible to only those authorities who are authorized and only to the extent required. This chip will be inserted in a card or smart band. We will create a card reader for the authorities having decryption key. An application will be made through which the citizens can view, update and print their own documents. There will be different channels for registration. Government authorities will register to access the data while citizens will register to store data. It will create a network where everything is available on a chip- your aadhar card, PAN card, Passport, Visa details, past and present loans, ration cards, driving license etc. However, only authorised person can view details hence it will be secure. Let me explain this with an example: When you are travelling, instead of carrying and worrying about multiple documents simply carry this card or band and it will be sufficient. The authority can access details of your flights and visa only. The card will have GPS tracking in case it gets lost, stolen or if the government requires to track someone in extreme cases.
