In today’s fast-paced world, even though people are connected to each other through technology, deep down they are very lonely. We are witnessing an increasing number of people suffering from depression due to work pressure, relationships, academic pressure, and peer pressure. Ms. Arpita Sachde has founded Share Your Emotions, an online platform to connect with people having similar emotional experiences. Here, a user can freely express their emotions without the fear of being judged. People do not have the time to sit down and share their problems with their family and loved ones. Hence this application will provide a platform where people can express their emotions and share their problems. This platform will enable users to ask questions and connect to people who have been through similar situations, problems, and emotions, and have overcome things. They can chat (anonymously, if they wish to) without disclosing their identity, and can find a solution to their problems. The application will allow people not having any problems to share their life experiences. It will also allow the user to track their emotional state by keeping a record of emotions (happy/sad/excited/dejected/hateful, etc.) everyday. Many people do not have the courage to walk into a psychologist’s clinic and discuss their problems face to face. Youngsters also find it difficult to approach their parents or friends for the fear of being judged or finding a lack of acceptance. In such a scenario, this application will provide a means to gain access to required help without having the fear of being judged and will help people to overcome various emotional and mental challenges.
