Sharv Hemp Indus Ventures Private Limited is a company formed by three women entrepreneurs of three different generations. The company has got license for cultivation of Industrial Hemp in Uttarakhand. The company will be an "Agro - Tech" company - apart from cultivating industrial hemp, it will manufacture hemp seed based products like hemp hearts, hemp protein powder, hemp seed oil, hemp butter etc. It will also process the raw hemp fiber and get it converted into hemp fabric. The company will offer employment in multiple stages - on the fields for industrial hemp cultivation, in the manufacturing process for hemp seed based products as well as fiber to fabric conversion, in the product delivery network. It will help stop migration from Uttarakhand by generating sufficient employment opportunities in the State. The company will create an entire eco system which help to develop other ancillary industries like cultivation seed suppliers, packing material suppliers, transporters, delivery agents, e commerce companies etc thereby creating an entire value chain of wealth creation. The hemp industry is in very nascent stage in India. Although hemp is a trillion dollar crop, people are not much aware about the benefits and the various by products that can be generated from industrial hemp. The company will be taking a selfless initiative by building an integrated platform on company's website and making products of all hemp industry players available for the people at one single place. This will bring visibility of hemp products to people and will thus help in wealth creation for the industry as a whole. The company's business model is scalable by starting industrial hemp cultivation in other states whenever the respective State Governments permit for the same. Manufacturing units can be established in other States and capacity of Uttarakhand manufacturing capacity can be augmented once the sales increase.
