The first satellite television dishes were built to receive signals on the C-band analogue, and were very large. The front cover of the 1979 Neiman-Marcus Christmas catalogue featured the first home satellite TV stations on sale. The dishes were nearly 20 feet (6.1 m) in diameter. The satellite dishes of the early 1980s were 10 to 16 feet (3.0 to 4.9 m) in diameter and made of fiber glass with an embedded layer of wire mesh or aluminum foil, or solid aluminum or steel. Satellite began transmitting analogue television signals on the Ku band for the market. This allowed small dishes (90 cm) to be used reliably for the first time. The technology and products for D2H/DISH antenna business is currently dependant on foreign players / counties. SKYSATENIC PVT. LTD. has designed and manufactured in-house 60 cm Eleptical Dish Antenna in under the Make In India protocol which are due to be supplied to all major D2H Operators Dish TV, Videocon, TataSky, Airtel, etc. Skysatenic has already established its relationship with the above operators and it has already initiated the process of supplies at at very low profile. Skysatentic is aiming to enhance its production capacity based on the funding assistance meeting the current demand. Also, it is aiming at reducing the imports of Dish Antennas from China and elsewhere.
