Project Brief – Hire Train and Deploy (HTD) Model Need • Unemployment widespread unemployment across the youth and the working age population is a huge challenge in development of the societal standard of living in India. A majority of the working age population in India is engaged in Marginal works and primarily into agriculture. • Supply – demand mismatch The trainings across the various colleges, Universities and skill development programs have not kept pace with the changing requirements of the industry. The courses being currently offered in various training have not been selected on the basis of their employment potential or based on Industry demand. Thus, there is currently a peculiar concern of “un-employment of trained candidates” and “lack of skilled manpower as perceived by Industry” coexistent. HTD concept • As a part of accentuating innovative schemes and inviting participation from industry and corporates having presence and operations in India and abroad, STC India Private Limited has come forward with an idea that can bypass some of the cardinal processes of this eco system and address the issue of relevance of the training programs from the industries perspective employed for domain skilling, the Hire- Train - Deploy (HTD) model has been planned by STC Inida Pvt. Ltd. as an exception to flexibly cater to the requirements of industry and assist the youth of India to get employment. • HTD is an innovative and first of its kind initiative that is aimed to address the India’s employment vision constituent of “Dynamic and demand-based system planning” and assist in Bihar’s pursuit of an effective and efficient skill ecosystem. Salient Features of HTD Recruitment HTD Projects will have the provision of Hiring the candidates (based on Industry’s own criteria and as per the requirement of the agency) and providing the offer letters upfront followed by Industry relevant training before actually deploying the candidates at their work location. The offer letters to be issued up front will be conditional offer letters and will be formalized subject to passing of the final assessment and completion of other formalities by the candidates.
