Socco is an innovative business model to cost effectively reach new internet users for online marketing of products. By creating a network of resellers to acquire and serve customers in a locality it reduces customer acquisition cost and last mile delivery cost and reduce the overall cost of service, the benefits of which can be passed to end customer. It is also an ideal model to reach new internet users in tier2 & tier3 towns who are new to e-commerce. With agents helping these new internet users in e-commerce transactions in a assisted e-commerce setup, it brings the benefits of e-commerce to people in rural India. The existing e-commerce companies do not allow the users in the platform to interact with each other whereas Socco is building an e-commerce platform where users can connect, chat and join groups of other users with similar interest and location and buy products together at discounted price. It is the first truly social commerce platform with both social and commerce aspects combined for the benefit of end customers.
