Diet S Mart is created with an aim to manufacture and sell diet foods which support healthy eating options across different categories. Lifestyle diseases like obesity, diabetes and hypertension are most common in India, which currently ranks 2nd in the world for obesity. The products have been created keeping in mind the community of dieters and health conscious people who are on the lookout for eating options with high nutrition content and low processed sugar and starch. Our range of products falls under the tag of ‘low carb’ foods. These foods have a global market CAGR of 5.5% . The health foods segment is growing at a rate of 50% in India specifically. Our initial offering of products is targeted towards practitioners of the ‘low carb and keto diet’ and are categorized under - snacks, ready mixes, staples and desserts. Coupled with the products are our social media content over our website, facebook, blog and Instagram accounts which aim to provide all the information necessary to initiate and sustain lifestyle changes. Our main aim is to make Diet S Mart a household brand by becoming a part of FMCG in the next 5 years by broadening the product portfolio to include other diets and health products in the coming 5 years. In our short term plan (1 year) we wish to capture a total of 2% of our target market with an incremental growth. Though we plan to supply our products pan India, our research shows that the majority of the sales will come from 5 major cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune. We plan to setup our manufacturing facility in Bhubaneshwar given the high produce of fresh organic vegetables and the low real estate and labour rates in the state of Odisha. Our products will be marketed and sold through our own e-commerce portal as well as through reputed online portals like Amazon. A robust marketing plan which will mainly involve using online social media platforms, influencers and product ambassadors as well as focus on gym goers and dieticians will help channel the sales at the desired rate. Our own social media pages on Instagram and Facebook are showing great response and have been steadily growing since inception.
