Solanova Tech Private Limited is an early-stage deep-tech startup founded to accelerate solar adoption in India through safer, smarter power electronics. We are building hardware designed from the ground up for Indian grid realities — not imported products retrofitted for local use. Our focus is on two critical components at the heart of every solar installation: the inverter and the battery management system. India’s grid is uniquely challenging, with frequent micro-outages, voltage fluctuations, and low impedance. Most inverters sold today fail to detect these conditions reliably, creating a serious safety risk called islanding — where solar systems continue to feed live power into a dead grid. At the same time, existing battery systems use fixed, inefficient charging profiles that reduce battery life and limit financial returns.Solanova Tech is developing an India-certified Anti-Islanding Hybrid Inverter and a Smart Battery Management System to solve both problems. Our inverter will deliver fast, reliable islanding detection engineered for local conditions, with seamless grid-tied, hybrid, and off-grid operation. Our BMS will move beyond static profiles by learning from consumption patterns, responding to tariff signals, integrating weather data, and proactively managing battery health for LFP and NMC chemistries. Deployed together, the two products communicate to enable coordinated grid response and real-time optimisation.With PM Surya Ghar targeting 10 million rooftops, CEA compliance deadlines approaching, and battery mandates across 14 states, the market need is urgent. Global brands remain expensive, while Indian alternatives lack advanced safety and intelligence. Solanova aims to fill this gap with affordable, certified, India-first technology.
