Small cities in India are undergoing a rapid economic growth in the last decade or so wherein, consumers are aware of healthy and farm fresh produce free from pesticides, adulterants and hormone inputs; but due to non-availability of such ‘healthy food’, they are forced to adopt the malpractices of adulterated food into their daily regimen. Also the producers who produces fresh dairy or agri-products don’t get fair value of their production due to many intrinsic circumstances. We have time and again witnessed the pathetic plight of farmers forced to abandon their produce on the roads and left with no other option other than to embrace the last unfortunate extreme step. Looking into this situation, Sprihaat™ was created. The name Sprihaat™ is a combination of two word, ‘Spriha’ and ‘Haat’. Meaning of ‘Spriha’ is ‘Aspiration’ and ‘Haat’ is a traditional market place. So through creating Sprihaat™, a market place is being created for small cities to handle aspiration of upcoming customers as well as provide a fair price to the producers. As a pilot it was started in Rourkela a small city in the tribal dominated Sundergarh district of Orissa. In the pilot phase, Dairy have been taken up. In Dairy, the customers aspire to get fresh milk without hormones/ SMPs/ Urea and other adulterants, produced within 12 hours of production without any preservatives. A team of delivery boys deliver this farm fresh milk directly to to doorsteps before 7am so that our next generation starts the day with healthy and nutritious milk before going to school. Strictly fresh milk is used for this purpose and no added preservatives are being used in it. For user convenience ordering through mobile app and payment through wallet and other online facility has been introduced making full use of digital media as provisioned by our great PM Mr.Narendra Modi. This has created an immediate rise in demand and currently more than 1000 customers are being serviced through this. In future, nearby small cities will be targeted. In this way, we hope to bring about a revolutionary change in the health and nutrition of our country and grow a healthier generation
