Our core focus is on preventing landfills with food material that can be reused as fodder. The direct impact is on farmers who can readily source this material from us at a very affordable cost, it is also un-adulterated and nutritive to a great extent as compared to other waste or low priced materials that they source. The packaging materials that are recovered are given to recyclers, alternate uses in handicraft and to engage local artisans for creation of usable items is being explored. The scope for utilisation of the discarded material is immense, as organizations seek a method of compliant handling of this area of their business. The innovation was in looking at an entirely new ay of reusing this valuable resource, that is thrown away as discard by companies. Scalability is very feasible if we are able to provide solutions to the large retail formats and reputed consumer goods companies with a ready reach to the farmers and with participation of the government bodies. Suprayog Earth Solutions already co-operates with the ICAR, Pig Research centre in Guwahati to reach out to farmers. Usage of other organic material that has no fodder use, is looked at being used in bio gas plants, benefiting local communities and aiding their daily life with nil environmental impact. Annually close to a sum total of Rupees 2000 Crores plus is designated as food to be dumped by companies.
