Atal Atmanirbhar Sahayak Kendra (AASK) is an initiative of Swabalambee Foundation, a Section-8 Company, registered in November 2020 at Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The Founder is having more than 35 years of experience in the media, academics, and development sector. He understands the issues related to the youth with much more clarity due to his years of interaction with them. The most alarming situation with youth is unemployment and lack of confidence to become self-reliant. The uncertainty in the job market is really becoming pressure on the government; thus Atmanirbhar (Self-reliance) is the answer and the present Government of India is laying more emphasis on making the youth a job-maker than a job-seeker. A broad policy, with financial outlay, has been declared by GoI to accelerate Atmanirbhar Bharat in a campaign mode to create more small-scale enterprises, utilizing the local resources. At this stage, the challenges are manifold, and one needs to work on those strategically, ensuring more job-makers to reduce the burden of job-seeking as the most preferred choice before the youth. Swabalambee Foundation is committed to acting on the issue, with its unique model through Atal Atmanirbhar Sahayak Kendra (AASK). The idea is to incubate a well-planned system to transform youth into an entrepreneur, with a series of services, which are essential for making the youth self-reliant. And thereafter, to upscale the incubated unique system with the involvement of many franchisee-holders, which in turn shall reach the maximum number of youths to make them self-reliant. AASK shall have a competitive advantage with its one-stop solution mechanism to ensure the youth as a successful entrepreneur with its profitable enterprise and thus contributing to the State’s exchequer. At present, the services required by the youth, aspiring to become an entrepreneur, are largely disintegrated and the level of mentorship is also not very intense and strategic. AASK intends to focus on an integrated support system to make the youth self-reliant and enterprising. The prime object of AASK’s 90 days Transformational Training Programme, besides another 9 months to 21 months of handholding support mechanism, is not only to make the aspirant youth a confident and self-reliant entrepreneur but also to ensure that the enterprise must earn profit and be sustainable. The Core Team of AASK is having the required expertise in all the relevant areas for mentorship and handholding.
