Building IRIS — India's first AI-powered Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) platform. IRIS automatically discovers where sensitive data lives across an organization's entire data estate — databases, cloud storage, SaaS applications, and code repositories — classifies it by risk level, and continuously monitors the security posture. The Problem: Indian organizations process vast amounts of personal and regulated data but have zero visibility into what is sensitive, where it resides, or who has access. The average cost of a data breach in India reached INR 22 Cr in 2025 (IBM), and CERT-In handled 2.94 million cyber incidents. With the DPDP Act 2025 now enforced (full compliance deadline: May 2027, penalties up to INR 250 Crore), every Indian organization processing personal data must urgently solve this problem. No India-native DSPM platform exists today — the market is entirely served by US/Israeli vendors priced at 50L-1.25Cr/year, making them unaffordable for 95% of Indian mid-market. Our Innovation: IRIS uses AI (LLMs, RAG-based context engines) to understand Indian data types — Aadhaar, PAN, GSTIN, UPI, IFSC — with 95%+ accuracy. The platform covers 105+ data sources (28+ databases, 67 cloud/SaaS integrations), supports 6 compliance frameworks (DPDP, SEBI, RBI, GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA), and includes 10 integrated modules: Data Discovery, AI Classification, Risk Scoring, Compliance Mapping, Evidence Management, Cloud Discovery, Scan Orchestration, Access Governance, User Access Review, and AI Governance. Current Status: MVP is complete with 348 API endpoints, 9,200+ automated tests, and 107 database migrations. We are currently seeking early pilot customers. The 15-member team includes 2 founders with 30+ years combined enterprise experience (Amazon, PwC, Fortune 500) and 4 strategic advisors.
