Mimiq was created by founder Harsha Soundararajan, a biotechnologist who himself lives with vitiligo and has felt first-hand the social stigma, self-consciousness and lack of tailored cosmetics for pigment-difference conditions. He founded Mimiq to address an unmet need: offering high-quality, inclusive camouflage makeup designed to help people with vitiligo or other skin differences choose how they present their skin — whether they want to conceal patches, highlight them, or simply have the freedom to decide. The underlying mission: shift the narrative from “fixing a defect” to empowering individual choice, dignity and self-expression. Mimiq emphasizes that a skin patch doesn’t need fixing — the choice is what matters.
