The company is focused on providing clean water to the public and solving solid waste management issues. The second largest populated country in the world, India faces various hindrances to its development. India’s largest cities have centralized sewage systems, complete with underground pipes, pumping stations, and treatment plants. However, these systems are expensive to build and to operate, requiring uninterrupted power, skilled operators, and extensive maintenance. India with its N number of mega cities (in terms of population) is generating tons of sewage, which must be dumped in our rivers, in turn polluting them. The best solution is to treat this sewage before it is let off in rivers. Jal Jeevan Mission is envisioned to provide safe and adequate drinking water through individual household tap connections by 2024 to all households in rural India. The programme will also implement source sustainability measures as mandatory elements, such as recharge and reuse through grey water management, water conservation, rainwater harvesting. The Jal Jeevan Mission will be based on a community approach to water and will include extensive Information, Education, and communication as a key component of the mission. Despite this mission there are Total rural households on 17/03/2022 19,31,99,823 and only Rural household tap connections on 17/03/2022 9,23,14,095 exist. So far only 47.78% of rural household have tap water connections.
