Topho will be a one-stop-shop for visual content creation, including the largest on-demand photography, videography and photo editing market place. Topho will become India’s first and largest online aggregator for all photography needs of individuals and businesses. Think of it as the urban clap of photographers, cinematographers, videographers and more. A website/app which will ensure a painless way to find the best photographer/photography studio for your need. Individuals and businesses can choose from a curated list of Topho Certified photographers and get all kinds of photography/videography services without having to worry about booking themselves. All that is required to be done is to choose a photographer/photography studio based on the client’s need and requirement, without having to sort through hundreds of portfolios or dealing with dozens of pages across social media profiles, as Topho will do it for them based on their requirement, on the click of a button. Topho will also develop a SaaS tool for the photographers and photography studios (at a price and annual maintenance) which will include billing, client account generation, reminders and exchange of photographs and videos through this tool. Eventually Topho will build AI based photography softwares and tools.6 2 So far as the uniqueness of the product is concerned, Topho is a unique concept in itself and the features like live bidding, Saas Tool for photographers and photography studios, customisation of project, calendar sorting and slotting by availability and account managers for Photographers and studios will be the first in the class features. Apart from this, Topho aims at onboarding photographers and creative artists on their platform and managing their services. Further, Topho will ensure a pool of customer experiece executives and managers as well as Topho geniuses. Photography workhops and certification programs will be started. Collaborative events with Camera manufacturers and awards. 3 The photography sector is one of the largest unorganised sector of the Indian Economic system. Therefore, at Topho, we are looking at a nation wide onboarding of photographers and studios and manage them and help them get them regular work. Topho looks forward to open a number of offices including its headquarter at Patna where various departments will be established to take care of the day to day activities of the business. A large number of account managers, customer service representatives, sales, brand marketing and operations management experts will be employed, hopefully in a large number. 4 On the face of it, the photography industry may look like a small market share holder in terms of revenue generation, but the reality is way different. The assessment of the next two points will bring clarity to this. 1) Photography is involved in an individual's and business' life cycle from birth till death and in between (for eg. wedding, birthdays, inaugurations etc). 2) In 2022, the average pricing of 1 wedding photography in Patna is over Rs. 1,00,000/- (One lac), now multiply it by the number of weddings that take place in Patna and further add the number of weddings across Bihar. Weddings a just one of the products that the photographers sell these days, a number of other products include pre wedding, maternity shoot, birthdays, product photography, portfolios, advertising photography/videography, documentaries, cinematography, etc). This is a raw market and by organising it, Topho is looking at an enormous revenue generation over the time. 5 The development of Topho will be an ever going process where it will keep expanding its horizon in terms of geographical area capture as well as product offerings. Apart form the regular improvements, Topho also eyes on the infusion of artificial intelligence and machine learning models to its product which will enable the clients to choose wisely their requirement and need. Further, the business model that Topho is entering, requires a 360 degree branding initiatives. Topho will also focus majorly on the awareness and sensitisation programs for potential clients and businesses. In terms of services, with the right flow, Topho will introduce Topho Assurance* with all its services offerings which will help build huge trust and credibility in the market and further help in customer acquisition. 6 A 2016 academic research paper from Carnegie Mellon University confirms what Airbnb believes is true - that professional photography increases bookings and revenue.
