Torvyn AI is a deep-tech autonomous financial governance and workflow platform designed to transform the financial close process for Indian enterprises. The Core Problem: Verification Gap Standard ERP systems such as Tally and SAP function effectively as digital ledgers for recording transactions. However, they operate in isolation and lack built-in intelligence to verify financial data against external sources such as bank statements and the GST portal. With the introduction of the new Income Tax framework effective from FY 2026 and the continued digitization of tax administration, compliance processes are increasingly designed around system-based checks and structured data exchange. At the same time, the availability of API-based, consent-driven access to financial data across banking systems and government portals such as the GST portal makes continuous verification technically feasible within enterprise systems. Despite this shift, finance teams continue to rely on manual, spreadsheet-based reconciliation at the end of each month. This reactive process results in delayed financial closure, higher operational effort, and increased compliance risk, including missed TDS deductions and mismatches in GST input tax credit. Proposed Solution: Continuous Governance Layer Torvyn AI addresses this gap by adding an intelligent workflow layer on top of existing ERP systems. It replaces email-driven and manual month-end processes with a continuous, automated close supported by four core capabilities, and enables verification against external financial data sources through secure integrations and APIs where available. Workflow Orchestration and Governance Controls Unlike basic task management tools, the platform enforces a structured Maker–Checker–CFO hierarchy aligned with RBI guidelines. Each general ledger is mapped to a defined governance chain rather than to a single user. The system automatically assigns each account to its designated Maker for reconciliation. After the Maker completes and submits the assigned verification and reconciliation work along with the required AI-suggested attachments and comments, the entry is locked. The task is then routed to the mapped Checker for validation against predefined criteria, and finally to the CFO for approval. This removes manual coordination overhead and ensures that every line item passes through all required approval stages before closure. AI-Assisted Verification and Controlled Action Execution The platform’s AI agents do more than flag discrepancies. Using computer vision and predefined Indian tax rules, they suggest appropriate journal entries for identified issues. This allows Makers to focus on review and decision-making rather than manual entry. The agent proposes actions and requests confirmation or rejection from the Maker. All actions from Maker’s AI-assisted review to final CFO approval are logged to create a complete and traceable digital audit trail covering the full lifecycle of each task. Real-Time Insights and Automated Reporting The system provides CFOs with automatically generated, real-time reports and visual dashboards, reducing dependence on manual data compilation and follow-ups. A built-in AI chatbot enables users to query financial data directly, providing quick visibility into variances, reconciliation status, and workflow progress without relying on spreadsheet analysis. Safe Resolution via Parked Documents To address enterprise data security requirements, the platform does not overwrite live ERP records. Once a transaction is fully approved, it is pushed back to the ERP as a parked document or draft entry, which is then reviewed and posted by the authorized official. This ensures the ERP remains the system of record while still benefiting from automated workflows. Operational and Compliance Impact By automating the verify-approve-post cycle and enforcing structural digital governance, Torvyn AI enables Indian enterprises to close their books in significantly less time. The platform reduces operational cost and effort, lowers compliance risk, and helps finance teams maintain audit readiness throughout the close process.
