TrashBack - Get CashBack from your Trash ! TrashBack aims to provide a green alternative to India's waste management problem by providing user-friendly solid waste collection at customer's doorstep while working towards a zero-landfill future in a way that is inclusive of local scrap dealers and waste pickers. Our platform allows for regularly scheduled and on-demand waste pickup. After retrieval, we segregate recyclables from the waste at our warehouse to then be sold to recyclers. The TrashBack system will significantly reduce the waste accumulation on landfills and account for domestic waste through our process. By incentivizing all types of waste by providing customers cash back or credits, with added incentives for pre-segregated waste, thus promoting source segregation. In addition, as waste is segregated in our warehouse process, we will collect post-consumer data through our machine learning model for more insights on consumer waste accumulation, consumer behaviour, and spending capacity. This ever-growing data set will allow us to expand into other industries like fintech, advertising and data analytics as our business matures.
