Key Objective of this solution is to build a Platform which will have the functionalities pertaining to Import Export process but more importantly, this platform will have a collaboration capability to integrate with Customer’s (Importer / Exporter) ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Navision etc.), Supplier ERP / Core Systems, Custom Portal and Back end systems, Freight Forwarder / Logistics 3PL company’s Application, CHA’s Systems / Portal frontends, Insurance company’s core insurance solution and Bank’s Trade Finance systems on a single platform. This platform will be useful for Large Enterprise as well as MSME’s and SME’s. These companies can leverage this platform to help them in reducing their lead time by almost from 4 to 5 week to 1 or 2 weeks, thereby reducing their cost & working capital, bring accuracy of data and one uniform interpretation of data across various stakeholder along with the data integrity required to execute the Import / Export process. In a long term, this platform can be used to address the need of global customers as well. Initial study indicates that the processes followed for Import / Export in most of the countries are gradually moving towards standardizations obviously with country specific idiosyncrasies, which can be built on the platform in coming phases. As a short-term objective focus on digitization of Import Export Collaboration, optimize timeline and in long run prove ease of doing business in India followed by in other countries.
