Global warming is a grim reality and carbon emission the biggest contributor. Liberal use of cement, bricks, large scale deforestation, use of electricity generated by fossil fuel, coal and huge dams, deformation of natural landscape to promote hospitality and tourism has been the norm as well as the bane over the years. This has severely dented the ecology. Developing sustainable and responsible tourism to the remote and unexplored parts of India to showcase the beautiful locations, people, art and culture to the world in a way to empower the local community and without spoiling the ecological integrity has been the singular focus of the Company. There is a growing population of conscientious tourists who do not want to indulge into destructive tourism any more. They are ready to pay for a more eco-friendly tourism solutions and destinations. URHPL intrinsically addresses all these issues by incorporating eco-tourism as its core theme. We also aspire to create eco-friendly canvas tent based camping resorts to bring to the world of tourism the breathtaking landscapes, vegetation, festivals, art and culture of remote India and while doing so integrate the local community and products with the journey. Most of these places are ecologically fragile and the local culture, traditions and customs are threatened by the invasion of modern lifestyles and generation of high carbon footprints. Hence, there is an urgent need of responsible tourism with sustainable practices. URHPL brings these sensitive issues on the table and take them forward in a responsible manner.
