Early stage funding is a challenge for startups as access to angel investors is difficult, especially for startups from Tier II & Tier III cities in India. Moreover, HNIs or potential investors who are keen to invest in startups are unable to find investment opportunities to participate in startup ecosystem as investors. Though there are many active angel investors network in India, the reach of such networks is limited to metro cities only. In fact, their penetration in metro city is also limited. In such scenario, there is a dire need to democratise angel investing in India by connect startups with angel investment on a trusted platform through a transparent process. Use of technology can solve this challenge wherein both startups and investors can interact on a tech platform with each other and are not limited by offline engagements that limits the reach.
