UrbanWind is dedicated to be a company for developing indigenous technologies in the renewable energy domain. Urbanwind, as a company would strive to bring academicians from eminent institutions like IITs/IISc across the country to identify potential advanced research that can be convertible to cutting edge technologies that can serve fighting climate change. Company is currently envisaging URBANWind project in developing indigenous novel Vertical Axis Wind Turbine that serves at domestic level contributing for distributed power generation and consumption. Technically, this novel wind turbine model would address limitations associated with traditional horizontal axis wind turbines that restricts them from being small and consumer end friendly. This new design would make smaller wind turbines to be installed as roof-top models serving industries like real-estate, powering telecom-poles, highway banners and even EV charging stations by installing them along the road divider of the highways of required lengths.
