Microfinance in India has been playing a very significant role in changing the economic status of rural areas. Thanks to the excellent steps taken by RBI and The Government of India, small-ticket loans are now easily available to the rural folk and that too without any collateral security. These loans are predominantly distributed through Women Self Help Groups (SHGs) consisting of about 20 to 50 women in each group. This ensures a regular supply of low-cost funds in the rural market thus enabling villages to be self-dependent and sustaining. Vasa Microcredit Private Limited is an emerging MFI, incorporated under Section 8 of the Indian Companies Act, 2013, aiming to provide unsecured microfinance advances to women and generally underprivileged individuals and traders for their self-improvement, in rural, urban and semi-urban regions. Mission: We look forward to being one of the pioneers of this socially and monetarily comprehensive development in our regions of operation, providing low-cost capital and also improving the skill set and employability of rural, semi-urban and urban women and youth. VASA Microcredit will be a hundred per cent technology-driven company with unparalleled software support. Our prime aim will be to provide affordable microfinance to our customers. Vision: The informal economy seldom leaves any digital footprint. We employ cutting-edge tools and survey methodologies to acquire relevant and reliable data from these data dark ecosystems. Our large field force and dedicated field research teams shall reach into the deepest parts of this ecosystem to get accurate and useful data so as to create practically functional finance products for the future.
